Beef Ragu

2 Person - Beef Ragu

Ingredients

 

o   200g

Diced Beef

o   1

Onion

o   1

Garlic Cloves

o   1

Carrots

o   1

Tin Tomatoes

o   1

Packet Red Meat Casserole Seasoning

o   150g

Penne pasta

o   75g

Mushrooms (about 1/2 cup, diced)

   

Pantry Staples

 

o   1 Tablespoons

Flour*

 

Salt and Pepper

 

Oil

o   1/2 Cup

Water

 

Method

1.   Preheat oven to 160℃ fan bake.

2.   Add oil to a large ovenproof casserole dish, or your slow cooker.

3.   Add the diced beef and season with salt and pepper.

4.   Slice the onion and add to the casserole dish.

5.   Crush the garlic cloves and add to the dish. If your dish can go on the stove, brown the beef, onion and garlic. It is also fine to add without browning.

6.   Add seasoning mix, tin of tomatoes, water and flour to the dish.

7.   Peel and finely dice the carrots and add to the dish. Chop the mushrooms and add.

8.   Cover the dish with tin foil, or a lid and place in the oven to cook for 1 hour. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 4 hours.

9.   Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil.

10. Add the pasta to the saucepan of boiling water and cook for 8-10 mins, drain the water once cooked.
