Lasagne

2 Person - Lasagne

Ingredients

o   250g                             Beef mince

o   1/2                                 Beef Mince Seasoning

o   200g                             Lasagne sheets

o   1                                   Carrot

o   1                                   Tin Tomato passata

o   2                                   Cloves garlic

o   1/2                               Brown onion

o   1/4                               Lettuce

o   1                                   Tomato

o   1/2                               Red Onion

 

Pantry Staples

o                                       Salt + Pepper

o   1 Tablespoon             Butter

o   1 Tablespoon             Flour

o   1 cup                           Milk

o   1 cup                           Cheese, grated

 

Method

1.   Heat oven 180℃ fan bake.

2.   Finely grate the carrot. Finely dice the onion and garlic.

3.   Heat a large pot or pan on medium heat. Add the oil, onions and garlic. Fry over medium heat until the onions are softened. Add the mince and break up with a spatula or wooden spoon. Once the mince is browned, add carrot and stir to combine.

4.   Add the spice mix and tomato passata. Let simmer over a low to medium heat for 10 minutes, or until the liquid is reduced and thickened.

5.   Add the butter to a saucepan and melt; add the flour and cook with the butter for 1-2 mins

6.   Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the milk

7.   Return the saucepan to the heat and bring to the boil; stir constantly until the white sauce thickens

8.   Add the grated cheese to the white sauce; season with salt and pepper

9.   In a large oven dish, layer 1/3 of the mince, 1/3 of the cheese sauce and lasagna sheets. Continue until all the mince is used. Pour the last third of cheese sauce on top of the top layer of lasagne sheets.

10. Sprinkle with additional grated cheese. Bake in oven for 30 minutes.

11. Prep lettuce, cucumber and tomato and set aside in a large bowl to serve with lasagne.
